Following an incident on Saturday, where some electrical distribution equipment was damaged in a fire, there are significant effects on train services as a result.

Elizabeth line trains between Shenfield and Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 will run between Shenfield and London Liverpool Street only.
Passengers travelling from stations between Shenfield and Stratford are advised to change at Whitechapel for an onward Elizabeth line service to Heathrow Airport Terminal 4. Free transfers are available between Heathrow Terminals. You can use your ticket at no extra cost on the following alternative train and underground services:

Alternative London Bus routes during disruption
You should allow extra time to complete your journey as the bus journey will be slower than the train. You may need to change buses or travel via a major interchange. Check live information before you travel as routes, stops and road conditions and congestion can change at short notice.

High Speed / Intercity Express Train services will, in the main, continue to operate as scheduled. They are able to operate on diesel power through the affected area which would not have any effect on the loading of the electrical supply.
Train services which normally operate between Didcot Parkway and London Paddington (calling at local stations via Pangbourne) will only operate between Didcot Parkway and Reading in both directions. Passengers to or from stations to London Paddington will be required to change trains at Reading. Note that this will particularly impact on those customers travelling to / from Slough, Twyford and Maidenhead who may use, at no additional cost, Elizabeth line services between London Paddington and Reading. Note that at London Paddington the Elizabeth line services call at platforms A and B which may be accessed via the entrances alongside platform 1 of the main terminal station.
If you are travelling to or from Slough, Maidenhead or Twyford your ticket will be accepted for travel via Reading, if this provides a faster journey to or from London Paddington.
Train services which normally operate between London Paddington and Newbury (calling at local stations via Thatcham) will, in the main, only operate between Reading and Newbury in both directions. Passengers to or from stations to London Paddington will be required to change trains at Reading.
